THE PROSECCO NIGHT IN WHITE

- BG REPORTER

Over time, Protea Hotel by Marriott Masa Square Hotel has set itself as one of the best hosts when it comes to lifestyle events.

The hotel, located in the hub of the CBD, has over the years curated and conceptualised some top- notch experiences and events. This past Saturday, the establishment once again cemented itself as the best host. Sales & Marketing Manager, Botho Mogami and her team went all out, breathing life into the concept. Initially pencilled to take place at their breathtaking Rooftop venue, plans were changed with the threat of rain looming.

But even with the change in venues, nothing was left to chance. The décor, immaculate and befitting of the theme was just perfect. The ambience suited the mood for the day. And the guests were all too happy to honour the dress code which happened to be All white.

The event themed: All White Prosecco Soiree seeks to give Batswana an event with a Protea experience. Instead of going for the ordinary, organisers wanted to give guests a one- of- a- kind event that celebrates Prosecco and highlights it. Prosecco is sparkling wine made in the Veneto and Fruit & Venezia Giulia regions of Italy. It gets its name from the village of Prosecco.

On the day in question, bubbles were flowing, and food and entertainment courtesy of Mpho Sebina, DJ Scratch as well as DJ Kellz was galore. Guests were treated to Cheese board nibbles, as well as other delectables. In total, there were four varieties of Prosecco on offer from companies, Benjus, Lengau wine, and Fine Brand.

She further says the fact that they have a rooftop is a bonus.

“We have a rooftop that deserves an all- white event, so we put the two ideas together and we had a great event last year. This event was also launching and activating summer. However, this year, it had to happen indoors because of the rain but next year we are back on the rooftop,” she explains highlighting that the whole idea behind the event is to encourage their patrons to get together, dress up and have a beautiful time.

She also notes that with this event, they are intent on supporting Botswana entertainers. Last year, they featured Dato Seiko, and this year, they brought Mpho Sebina, Kellz and Scratch to the stage. “All I can say is wow, Batswana know how to have responsible fun. Thank you all for supporting Protea Hotel by Marriott Masa Square Hotel. See you all next year,” said Mogami.
