Buisanyang finally takes control of Rasesa Kgotla
Letshwenyo Rasesa appeals his eviction at High Court
There was drama at Rasesa Kgotla Wednesday morning when former Chief Representative, Letshwenyo Rasesa walked out of a meeting that had been convened to unveil the new Chief Rep, Kagiso Buisanyang to the community.
Emotions were mixed when Motshwarelela Kgosi of Bakgatla, Kgosi Bana Sekai rose to announce the purpose of his visit.
He said after careful and detailed examination of the family tree of the Rasesa Bogosi, the main Kgotla in Mochudi had arrived at the conclusion that Buisanyang is the rightful leader.
This means that starting Wednesday November 23, 202, Buisanyang commenced his work as Chief
Representative in Rasesa Kgotla.
While many broke out in song and dance to celebrate the news, others, led by Rasesa, walked out in anger.
Speakers commended Sekai’s patience and wisdom in handling this sensitive matter that has the potential to divide the tribe right down the middle, as attested by Buisanyang in his acceptance speech.
However, others called for caution, especially since Letshwenyo has taken the matter to the high court.
The case is set for hearing on December 15th. However, this could not deter Sekai who said he was merely doing his job, which has been endorsed by government through the Ministry responsible for Bogosi as well as the Director of the Department of Tribal Administration.
