Miss Botswana rides in Jay’s Cars

- IRENE SHONE BG REPORTER

Jay’s Wedding cars continues to radiate well within the wedding and events platform, as they have just recently introduced bigger cars to their fleet.

Just early this week, they had an honour to host Miss Botswana, Lesego Chombo and her crew when she arrived at her home town, Maun for the first time as a national queen. Jay’s Wedding cars is popular for their VW Convertible, Audi Tt and Morris Minor 1956. Director of Jay’s Wedding Cars, Lentlafetse Dingalo says that it was long overdue for them to diversify and introduce bigger cars to cater for all their clients’ needs. “We have now introduced Fortuner as a bigger car into our collection, because we strive hard to cater for our clientele’ s demands. Some people have long requested for bigger cars, as they are fans of bigger cars, and so we have just started to add the collection,” explained Dingalo. She is happy to share that they introduced their bigger cars at an opportune time, just before Miss Botswana was crowned, and so they had to also recognize her and take her around Maun in their cars. “We were very excited when Chombo won Miss Botswana, and the little we could do, since she is from Maun and we are also based here, was to host her upon her arrival,” Dingalo says. She further tells

BG Style that as an event company, they always look out to lifestyle events and do not want to be left behind. Their cars are often used as photo booths for most of the local events, besides being hired for wedding occasions. When she started, she wanted to focus on Vintage cars only, as they are rare to be found, but people’s demands pushed her outside her comfort zone as she has realized that people need different cars for different occasions.

A little later, after introducing her events cars, Dingalo then partnered with a helicopter owner to provide scenic events/ photo shoots. She is a firm believer of lifestyle and tells BG Style that organizing a perfect and unique event of class gives her peace.

“I do not just do events, but find it all therapeutic. It just leaves me in awe to see my clients appreciating my work and recommending me to other people,” she says. She actually has a hair braid line, called Ngirl Braid as well as a fragrance line called Ngirl & Christian Fragrances. She has since noticed that most of their clients now want bigger cars, as some people only got to learn that they have introduced them when they saw them moving around this Tuesday with Miss Botswana. “Branding is quite important for me, so we had everything in order and made sure that our plate numbers were branded Miss Botswana. We actually picked her from the Airport

and drove around Maun with her and her team,” she explains noting that she does not take this for granted because Miss Botswana is one of the biggest national events. She highlights that they have always had good feedback in their two years of existence, and they strive to deliver best services for events

in Maun and surrounding areas as well as nationwide. “Our cars are actually hired every weekend, as we are the only wedding cars service providers in the region,” she shares. She says so far, most events prefer their Vintage cars as they often use them as backdrop or for a photo booth.
