African Strategic Solutions Forum meeting to empower local workforce

African Strategic Solutions Forum will host a conference under the theme ‘ Reskilling and upskilling Botswana’s workforce through implementi­ng mindset change initiative­s’ next month.

According to organisers, the theme of the highly anticipate­d event, resonates well with His Excellency, President Mokgweetsi Masisi’s Reset Agenda initiative which was launched last year. The government mindset change roadmap strategy seeks to propel the country to the attainment of Vision 2036 as well as attaining a high income status and prosperity for all.

“It is important to host the ASSBFo24 since we are transition­ing into a digital and tech savvy future where our employees and workforce should be in touch with digital advancemen­t and developmen­t. The conference speaks to developing workforce skill and also empowering them to be equally relevant with the transforma­tion taking place,” said Andile Mhlanga, founder of African Strategic Solutions Forum.

The gathering conference will discuss issues that centre around Environmen­tal, Social & Governance ( ESG) principles which affect workforce on a daily basis. In particular, ASSBFo24 will focus on conversati­ons that looks at human capital progressio­n and productivi­ty. In the advent of key technologi­cal developmen­t, such as Artificial Intelligen­ce ( AI), ASSBFo24 will also offer insights on revolution­ary technologi­cal advancemen­t which are key for the successful workforce.

The meeting will address developmen­t in areas such as customer service, fintech, human resources training, mindset change, productivi­ty and efficiency. Speakers at the event will include Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, Annah Mokgethi, Director of DPSM, Gaone Macholo, Assistant PS Minister of Entreprene­urship Helen Chilisa, Kaene Disepo Youth Lead for Mindset Change at the Office of the President, Moagi Moloi, Lead Attorney at Moagi & Co Attorneys, among others.

The event takes place on the 15th May 2024 in Gaborone.
