The backpacker place and the camp are in Livingstone, about 2 km apart. The backpackers’ is for younger travellers; the camp is more suited to families.

The Victoria Falls Waterfront

This lodge is about 5 km south of Livingstone, next to the Zambezi. Camping US$12 (R169) per person. Permanent tent US$44 (R618) per night for two adults; US$32 (R450) per child aged 3 – 11; free for children under 3. Four-sleeper family room US$200 (R2 810) per night, breakfast included. These are the low-season rates.

The lodge has swimming pools, a bar and a pizza oven on the deck. It’s also the Safpar head office, where you can book all your adrenaline outings.
