PLAYTIME
Janine Krayer “Lions are often rather boring to photograph, as they tend to snooze for up to 20 hours a day. ‘Excitement’ comes in the form of an ear twitch or a sleepy gaze towards the tourists.
“This cub was playing with 10 siblings and cousins on the banks of the Chobe – we were watching them from a gameviewing vehicle. Capturing the scene without motion blur and with most of the cub in focus required a fast shutter speed and a narrow aperture.”
HOW? Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 100 – 400 mm lens, shutter speed 1/1600 second, aperture f7.1, ISO 1600.
