PARK FEES

You can usually pay park fees at the gate in American dollars or Zambian kwacha. It’s sometimes more affordable to pay in kwacha. Pack a calculator and work out the difference between the kwacha and dollar fees. Entrance fee: US$15 (R200) per person per day (SADC rate), plus US$15 (R200) per vehicle per day (SADC rate for a vehicle under three tonnes). Camping levy: US$5 (R67) per person per day – this is a government fee in addition to the fee you’ll pay at the campsite. Fishing permit: US$30 (R400) per person per day. Discount: All park fees are halfprice for children aged 5 – 12.
