ROOT & JOURNEYS General Manager of Camp Operations
Ensure orders placed by camps are correct and in line with the company ordering system. Ensuring all logistical supplies are received by the 3 camps on a timely basis. Weekly reconciliation of stock takes done by camps. Quarterly reconciliation of Fixed assets of camps. Data administrations and management reports. Regular performance appraisals with staff and identifying areas for development. Lead by example and have an attention to detail. Be able to multi task and work under pressure showing initiative and be able to work unsupervised. Effectively manage his team and be a good example and team player. Have a sound understanding of the company disciplinary code and Botswana Labour law. Experience in developing and managing budgets. Ensure project to do lists are actioned and completed (within budget and defined timelines). Computer skills and daily and monthly admin that is required. This is a brief outline of the job and it is not limited to the above.
The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in hospitality as well as a minimum of 12 years’ experience in a 5-star establishment in a similar role, including strong communication, people management and hospitality skills.
