South African artistes Boohle, Mthunzi, Nobuhle and DJ Milez lead an exciting line-up for the Suping Beach Party billed tommorrow at Suping in Molepolole. From the local shores, rapper Scar will lead a group of talented DJs such as Crispin The Drummer, DJ Rox, DJ Samusa, Chef Gustos, Kelly Kell, Harrycane, Questo Majaivane, Oura, Casablanca, Mabb Dee, and DJ Lake.

Beaches and partying go together like a hot summer day and a cold beer. But with beach parties not so popular locally because of lack of beaches in the country, it is no surprise that Gilbert Promotions and Majweng Festival have come up with this creative concept to give local beach party enthusiasts something to cheer about this summer.

In an interview with Arts & Culture, Gilbert ‘PP wa Pimp’ Seagile said although Botswana does not have a beach because of its landlocked status, the concept of a beach party has always been very welcome by the local patrons as it offers an authentic and refreshing atmosphere from your normal music festivals.

As such, he said the upcoming event would give beach party enthusiasts an opportunity to enjoy an epic summer celebration.

Since there is no beach, he said the event will be held next to a pool to create a beach-inspired celebration. Seagile also said they will be using themed party decor to bring about that beach party fun and experience.

“It is one of those events not to be missed. It will be like no other beach party before it and very memorable. I know we don’t have a beach but we will create that atmosphere for an even better experience,” Seagile said.

Seagile explained that beach parties also create a good atmosphere for family get together, as such it would be an opportunity for families to come and create memories together while being treated to good music by performing artists. The event will commence at 12pm until late. Tickets for the event sell at P100 standard and P150 at the gate.
