Aspiring supermodel, Atlarelang Mosweu has been invited to showcase her talent at The International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Convention in New York City, US on July 10-15, 2022.

“I am the only Motswana model who got this invite. Other countries got many contestants to represent them. I will be representing Botswana and bringing back international exposure as the event will be shown on televisions and published in international media. I also aim to be victorious at the convention not only for myself but for my sponsors, my country and for Model Atts Models,” she told Arts & Culture in an interview.

Mosweu indicated that her desire is to impart knowledge and skills to other aspiring models and to help the youth to discover the geniuses in them. She also said she wants to make the youth realise the potential and abilities they have.

“They can actually brighten up their future through talent. For me to be there shows them that being in the international stage is not impossible,” said Mosweu.

The lady from Mahetlwe, further indicated that as an unemployed degree holder of Health Information Management, she decided to invest in her modeling talent and passion. “I am currently pursuing my dream of being an international supermodel. I have a burning desire to change the world for good,” she said.

The 27-year-old-lady further said she had the privilege to audition for the international Arts Talent Showcase

in May 2021 in Cape Town where she won the overall best female commercial model, out of more than 100 contestants.

“In addition I was given a callback to perform at The International Arts Talent Showcase hosted at Silverstar Casino Hotel in Johannesburg on 2 September 23-25 last year where my performance was selected as one of the best by American panels of judges,” she recalled.

Besides being a model, Mosweu is a motivational speaker, social activist, make-up artist and volunteer. Mosweu is a director of an agency or movement called Model Atts Models consisting of 20 female models and five males.
