Ms. Motshabi Mokone as the new Chief ExecuƟve Officer

NMG Administrators Botswana ;NMGͿ is proud to announce the appointment of its new Chief ExecuƟve Officer, Ms. Motshabi Mokone, an experienced financial services industry leader.

Motshabi has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience working at various reputable organisaƟons within Botswana. Motshabi is a skilled strategist with a proven track record of transforming strategic plans into workable soluƟons, a visionary leader and a performance driven execuƟve with experƟse in opƟmizing operaƟonal processes. She is an advocate for the support of the advancement of women in leadership within the financial services industry. This is evidenced by the mentorship she provides to young and upcoming female leaders within the financial services industry in Botswana as well as South Africa.

Prior to her appointment as Chief ExecuƟve Officer of NMG Administrators Botswana, Motshabi was the Managing Director of Absa Life Botswana for approximately 9 years. Her role essenƟally comprised in providing strategic direcƟon, financial and operaƟonal leadership for Absa Life Botswana, working with the Board of Directors and senior leadership within the Absa Group. Prior to that, she worked at

Alexander Forbes Financial Services in various capaciƟes, with her most recent role being Chief OperaƟons Officer and ExecuƟve Director. During her tenure at Alexander Forbes, she was responsible for small and large pension funds in the Botswana market, including the largest pension fund in the Botswana market, being the Botswana Public Officers Pension Fund (BPOPF). Other employers include Stanbic Bank Botswana and First NaƟonal Bank Botswana, where her financial services career commenced.

She is also a founding ExecuƟve Member of the AssociaƟon of Life Underwriters Botswana and was the Deputy President of the AssociaƟon unƟl her departure from the insurance industry.

NMG Administrators Botswana was appointed as the Fund Administrator for the BPOPF and took over administraƟon of the fund from 1 June 2021. NMG Administrators Botswana is the largest reƟrement funds administrator in Botswana, licensed by the Non-Bank Financial InsƟtuƟons Regulatory Authority and forms part of the NMG Group, which is a global advisory and intermediary firm focused exclusively on the financial services sector. Mr. Jacky Mathekga, the Chief ExecuƟve Officer at NMG Benefits, and NMG Administrators Botswana’s technical partner, said Motshabi’s vision for the industry and extensive experience across the financial services sector, would allow her to build on the company’s exisƟng market posiƟon.
