- NNASARETHA KGAMANYANE Correspondent

In a attempt to promote their artist Tarz-B, The Urge Promotions will host a music show dubbed Festive Mood Activation with Tarz-B in November. Urge Promotions is an artist promotion and event management business founded by Ophadile Gofhamodimo. It was registered into a business early September 2022. In an interview with Arts & Culture, Gofhamodimo said their business is currently managing versatile and talented artist Tarz-B.

She said in an effort to promote and help grow his brand, they have planned an annual event called Festive Mood Activation with Tarz-B. Gofhamodimo also explained that the events will be done in two parts; at Makgabana Club in Zowa on November 26 and at Notwane Lifestyle Club in Gaborone on November 26.

“The idea behind the name of the event is inspired by some of Tarz-B’s tracks in his album dubbed Radikika in the likes of Ga go restege and Kgwedi e fedile. We are moving towards festive season and the songs may play a vital role in the lives of Batswana, as they could be used as an educational tool to advice people to drink responsibly and save their lives from road accidents. Especially during month end where people are prone to having so much fun drinking and having no chill, as the two songs highlight “Ga go restege” and “Kgwedi e fedile,” she said.

She also said the event would feature local artists, both big shots and upcoming. The event will also feature a South African artist named Phumy X. She explained that Phumy X does Amapiano and was a very talented artist. She added that featured in the event as hosts were two talented individuals whom are famous in the entertainment industry, Tecsion Bw (Thememeking) and the other cohost whose names shall be disclosed at a later stage. Furthermore, Gofhamodimo said they were also looking for more partners/sponsors to be a part of the event.

Tickets are available at Webtickets at the Riverwalk Kiosk and at Spar supermarkets across the country. They are sold at P50 and accommodates one person.
