Kwa Isong Cultural Festival tomorrow

-

Camels Inn Lodge situated in Mmopane is ready to get revellers into an early Christmas mood with the revival of one of its popular engagements, Kwa Isong Cultural Festival scheduled for this Saturday. Kwa Isong Cultural Festival was once a favourite family outing held annually, with the last edition in 2019.

The advent of COVID-19 and an unfortunate burning down of the lodge’s restaurant and bar meant Kwa Isong Cultural Festival was not held in subsequent years. However, the management, which is revamping the place with new and exciting programmes, has seen it fit to bring back Kwa Isong tradition this year.

The event was popular for its traditional cuisine and soothing local sounds.

Jazz maestro, Socca Moruakgomo headlines an impressive local line-up, which will serenade pleasure seekers who are likely not be disappointed on the day.

Traditional music lovers can look forward to Ditiro Leero’s rich local sounds which are embedded in the Setswana culture. Popular dance group, Mafitlhakgosi also make the lineup and fans should expect their usual energetic performances. Gata-La-Tau Traditional Dance Group completes the all-local list mostly likely guaranteed to give the crowd their money’s worth.

DJ Kidzman will be on the decks. Tickets for the show are already on sale at Web tickets Riverwalk, Spar Supermakets nationwide and Liquorama shops in Gaborone. A double ticket costs P150, while for single the charge is P100 and kids pay P50. For corporate bookings, the charge is P2,000 for 10 people. Each package guarantees a traditional dish of your choice, accompanied by traditional beer or ginger. Kids will enjoy traditional cuisine, swimming and jumping castle among others.

“We guarantee our patrons a safe and enjoyable Kwa Isong festival. We will give them their money’s worth, even better than our previous editions which were very popular. We have come up with new innovative ways to cater for our clientele,” said Camel’s Inn Managing Director, Barudi Mosimaneotsile.
