The states trav­el­ling by foot are not get­ting any­where very fast. Those in this group have some of the high­est lev­els of poverty and low­est ac­cess to elec­tric­ity and the in­ter­net. The UN es­ti­mates that 1.7 mil­lion peo­ple have been dis­placed by Boko Haram and the gov­ern­ment’s fight­back in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe. With a com­bined un­em­ploy­ment and un­der­em­ploy­ment rate of 62.4% in 2017, Ji­gawa State is the worst place in the coun­try to be look­ing for a job.
