Serumola pens Chronicles of Creativity

- BY LAME CHABA

Evanah Serumola has published a book titled Chronicles of Creativity, which details the revolution of a generation that is not afraid to be creative and innovative.

Serumola recently told Vibe that her new offering is much of a guide book to discovering one’s creativity. She noted that some people believe that creati vity is something that one has to be born with, but clarified that it can in fact be nurtured.

“In the book I tend to differ in my opinions… The Chronicles of Creati vity states that, just like knowledge, unless you acquire it, you will not know of it. Creativity can be practiced, taught, developed and built on. It is something one can cultivate, it is flexible, it can even be cultivated in the direction of one’s desired field of interest,” she said. Serumola said the message of the book is that creativity is wisdom and it is what crea t e s the future of dreams. “Every human being, both young and old should strive to discover and entertain creativity,” she said. The book, published in September 2020, will be launched on the 28th of November 2020 at the Uni v e r s i t y of Botswana Library Auditorium. Serumola said she would like to one day be considered as one of the best-selling authors in the country. She also shared that she would like to mentor young people who are still exploring their talent. “I want to help them publish books that are part of the better change in Africa’s innovation landscape,” she added.
