BOOK TITLE: MARRIED AT 22: THE QUESTIONS WE ALL HAVE AVAILABLE AT: ON REQUEST AUTHOR: THATO AND LAONE MOGOTSI REVIEWED BY: KELETSO THOBEGA

-

The authors have been together for eight years, and got married young, in their early 20s and they have penned their beautiful love story to share the beauty of love and encourage other couples to invest in their marriage. The book is a journey in print of what happened from the time the two met as teenagers in secondary school and became friends before becoming lovers. The book takes the reader on a journey, about how they have fought for their love and how they intend to grow old together. They share some of their mistakes that other couples can avoid, and also seeks to inspire those who have lost hope in love and marriage, as well those who do not believe in the beauty of their dreams anymore, and have questions about young love. They encourage intentional commitment – consciously wanting your relationship or marriage to work, and putting in the necessary effort. It is not a pretentious book in that it does not offer any bullet-proof magic formula, but they simply offer an authentic and simple love story that they hope will be inspirational and uplifting to the reader. To paraphase the authors: “There are some young people who secretly believe in love, but are scared of voicing this out and taking steps to actualise their dreams because society has its own perceptions. There also those who believe in young love and only need a reference to point them to believe that it is possible to success in your relationship and marriage even thought it started early. There are those who are heartbroken and do not believe in love anymore. We however hope that seeing a young couple that is purely in love may spark within them the desire to believe in love again. We believe our story will inspire a number of people to also see young love in a different perspective.”
