New banking system to spur Stanbic’s customer service

Stanbic Bank Botswana has launched a new core banking system. According to the bank, the new mobile teller is expected to offer customers a suite of benefits to clients. These include personalis­ed data-led experience, enhanced safety, security features and more digitizsti­on, coupled with increased speed and innovative solutions. The new system dubbed ‘Tswelelope­le’ went live at the beginning of February. It will help Stanbic Bank to realise the dreams of its clients and customers as a true financial services partner.

According to the Stanbic Bank Chief Executive, Samuel Minta the transition into the new generation banking system aligns with Stanbic Bank’s overarchin­g desire to delight customers through a sound customer experience. He added that the tech-savvy banking system is designed to enable Stanbic Bank gain optimal value from customers’ data. “With the support of every member of the Stanbic Bank family and the patience of our valued customers, the system is now live. We anticipate it will bring our valued customers a more streamline­d and enjoyable banking experience”, said Minta.

“Tswelelope­le is being launched in phases across the bank’s branches. It is considered a first of its kind mobile teller, consolidat­ing the bank’s back and front office functions to improve response times and enable a more proactive customer service approach. It is an ongoing process of improving ourselves for our customers, always learning and always growing”, said Minta.
