SALANG RELEASES BOOK TITLED MANIPULATI­VE TEACHERS

Taboka Salang recently released a new book recently titled ‘Manipulati­ve teachers.’he said that the book has two versions: hard copy with few illustrati­ons and the second version is a soft copy/an interactiv­e story which is character design oriented. She also noted that the book is about a lady, a teacher (HOD) geography department who bore a female child Isago. The child came through an indecent act/rape. Because of that she repudiated the child and gave her to the strange father with Mma Kereng’s help. Salang explained that her desire and aim when she wrote the book, was to create awareness and to teach people about real life situations that they encounter in everyday life. Though fictional the plot of the book portrays everyday sensitive cases such as rape, betrayal, reconcilia­tion love and forgivenes­s,” she said. According to Salang, the message the book to the readers is that they should not reject someone because of a mistake they did and they should give people second chances and forgive. The world we are living in is unpredicta­ble, anything can happen adding that the book prepares its readers to deal and tackle with everyday life experience­s. The book is a play script with eight scenes, which is to be turned into a drama series soon and it has 8 scenes. Salang said she has already sold nearly 20 copies of the book and intends to distribute it to book centres across the country.
