Teachere drops new single, Go Lokile

- IRENE SHONE

Teachere’s latest new single track dubbed, ‘Go-lokile’ marks growth in his music journey, and his fans have acknowledged how his sound has improved.

Teachere recently told Vibe that his dream as a musician is to be recognised internationally, which is why he always works hard to improve his craft, he noted. He pointed out that some of his fans actually thought that ‘GoLokile’ was ATI’s song based on the voice and the energy he exhibits in the song.

“I must say that when people kept telling me that I sounded like the legendary ATI on this song, I took it as constructive criticism. It is good to be associated with the legends, so this humbled me and I am confident that it means I am doing something right,” he said. He added that he has always been inspired by ATI and Spiza. Go-Lokile is an uplifting song that reassures people that despite challenges in life, nothing gets messed up for good, and people should have hope that everything will be alright at one point in life. The upcoming artiste is of the view that recognition in the music industry is very important and he is content that his new song, ‘Go-Lokile’ will take him places. “This song reached out to a lot of people just on the same day it was released. People shared it on social media platforms and the feedback was just overwhelming than I have expected. I am grateful for my fans for this love and support.” The new song is currently enjoying airplay on various local radio stations, and Teachere said this gives him the confidence to grow the soul Motswako genre in the country. The music video for the song is expected to drop soon.
