DJ Dagizus drops Ngoma Ya Rira featuring Fatos

Embraces new sound, universal music

- SUN REPORTER

USA based DJ Dagizus of Dagee Records, recently dropped a banging new single titled Ngoma ya rira (The Silencer) featuring Fatos. The song will be officially launched later in March.

Ngoma ye rira is a Afro beat and amapiano jive song, with a catchy beat and reflective lyrics. DJ Dagizus explained that it is a positive song that calls for the world to unite through music. “if music is a universal language, why not unite and become one as creatures of God? Remember that even God loves music, so why can’t we jam to the same music? The message of the song is to make people happy, despite the challenges and problems we all face around the world. It came at the right time when people are losing hope due to circumstances in life, from Covid19, high cost of living, job losses, illness, death, crime and all that. But if we took time to be happy, and dance and listen to music, the world would be a better place. This is more of a tribal song also, and calls to Africans to be united and listen to and dance to the drums,” he said. The song is a cool and vibey instrumental filled song that was produced by DJ Dagizus’ associate producer based in Mahalapye, called Bomber Beatz. DJ Dagizus said he appreciates the lad’s talent. “The young producer is talented and I discovered him on one of the platforms on Whatsapp,” he said He shared the process of coming up with the final song. “Once, I acquired the beat, I called it The Silencer, which means that that once this song released, it would silence all the doubting Thomases out there. I posted the song on Whatsapp askking anyone interested to jump on. An upcoming

artist from Shakawe, who is now based in Maun, Fatos, reached out to me and put his vocals on the song. Je was excited when I told him that he could even use his mother tongue in the song. He decided to use his native language from Okavango, therefore the song was renamed, Ngoma ya rira, which when loosely translated, means the sound of the drums (or the drums are playing). “When they talk about music being a universal language of mankind, they are talking about this song. It does not matter what language a song is in, it can still be felt across the globe, and this showed on the clips that we have been posting on Instagram that even in Europe, some people like the song,” he said. The artwork for the single was done

by Leonid Mitrofanov, who is a creative wire crafter. DJ Dagizus said he wanted something that would relate to the song. “There is something special about the artwork... It depicts a man or woman playing the drum, which collerates with the message of the song, which is about drums,” he said. He thanked the artist for extending his talent to the project. “When I was looking for something that would echoe the message of the song, I saw his work online and reached out to him on his Instagram, @Leo_WireCraft.

The song will be available on all social media platforms including iTunes and Amazon. For more information, reach out to DJ Dagizus on his social media platforms, Dagee Records.
