Neno Cosmetics makes strides in beauty and wellness
Most women love to look good for special ocassions; whether its a wedding, birthday,graduation, baby shower or any event,we all want to feel and look good, and this is the niche market that Neno Cosmetics is making strides in.
The homegrown beauty and wellness brand strives to make women feel and look good and they are doing well at it so much that they are getting many clients through recommendations.
In an interview with Vibe recently, the founding directors of the brand, Neo and Nonofho Segomotso, said thay they were inspired to start this beauty and wellness brand by their own love for fashion and beauty.
“We grew up watching fashion shows on television, and appreciated the clothes,make-up and hair that makes a good look.
We are also fond of beautiful things.We decided to start this business together because we are like ’finger and nail’ and have similar taste.
We cater for women who like us, enjoy looking after themselves and looking gorgeous.”
The Segomotso sisters both studied accounting at Botswana Accountancy College and BaIsago University, and most of their family and friends expected them to go into the corporate sector once they graduated, but they decided to go into the beauty and creative field instead.
They said there was a lot of disapproval over their choice, but this pushed them to work harder in their business venture.
“We wanted to prove that we have what it takes to make it the beauty industry.
Our background in accounting came in handy as we could better manage our finances due to the financial acumen we both have.”
Neno Cosmetics has grown in leaps and bounds in the past few years, so much that the two have managed to save enough money to re-invest in their business, and have even launched their own product, called Neno Tea, a detox and slimming tea.
They said the support they have received so far is overwhelming.“We have received a lot of support, even from South Africa.
We are grateful for the support and it brings us great fulfilment to see the joy on the faces of our clients who appreciate our products and services.”
