HOW ARE NATUROPATHIC DOCTORS DIFFERENT FROM CONVENTIONAL MEDICAL DOCTORS?

-

The main difference lies on the reliance of symptoms and disease and specialisation by medical practitioners.

This line of thinking is directed towards separation of the whole. The body and mind are separated

as well as parts of the body. In medical practice there are specialists such as cardiologists, oncologists, gaenocologists, psychologists, psychiatrist, etc. Drug therapy applied in medical practice; drug manufacturing is synthesised by extracting only one potent chemical from a particular herb depending on the chemical content of the herb to have a total effect of that chemical in the body, e.g. analgesic effect or pain killer. Drug therapy is directed towards a particular symptom or disease. We are living in a mechanical fast world and the health problems associated with the lifestyle including traumatic experiences such as crime and car accidents require emergency intervention. Conventional medicine is the best medicine for traumatic emergencies and surgery for chronic and prolonged conditions in which organs are destroyed and have no chance of regeneration. The primary focus of naturopathy on the other hand is restoration of homeostasis, which supports the inherent healing process of the physical body. The symptoms are addressed in conjunction with the bodily systems. Naturopathy focuses on correcting disturbances in the bodily system and once homeostasis is restored to its optimal function, repair and healing takes place including recuperation.

Healing occurs permanently without remissions. Naturopathy does not suppress healing it works to eliminate all the toxins and allows healing to take place. The chances of disease developing and becoming chronic are minimal.

Naturopathy treatment stimulates regeneration and complete recovery. The cause of disease, personal constitution, predisposed and sustaining factors are addressed. Naturopathic preventive methods work to eliminate the offensive factor, strengthening weakened tissues and organs and fine tuning all the organs as well as nourishing the body and the mind. Naturopathy addresses the body and mind as a whole without separation. The mind drives the physical body to act, and the physical body incorporates all the organs, the body fluids to function. The disease, symptoms are part of this mechanism, beginning with chemical structure and interaction in nature and the universal world. Herbals work to support the intrinsic nature of the body and mind. The connection between human and nature is phenomenal.

A herb can have several properties and actions, affecting organs, fluids and tissues in the body simultaneously. Herbal medicine is safe, effective and does not cause side effects.

Wrong prescription, interactions, contraindications and precautions can cause problems.

Self-prescription may not be desirable or cause adverse reactions.

OXYGEN, WATER, NATURAL FOOD AND THE SUN ARE ALL ESSENTIAL IN NATURAL THERAPY

Naturopathic treatment may take longer to produce the desired effect, but a combination of herbal therapy with body work may produce desired effect in a reasonable time period.
