Wired up Security Systems

The Alarm Boys pulled up another surprise from their magic bag, defeating BDF XI in the Mascom Charity Cup semifinals last month and played their first ever local cup final; although they lost it against Orapa United, the team gave a spirited performance.

“We approached the game with a different mentality, we did not undermine our opponents and we want to thank the 12th player for getting us through this game; we are trying to build this team both on and off the pitch,” he said.

He further added that there is pressure to maintain their playing standards. “There is always pressure with this job, whether you are losing or you are winning, the expectation is high from everywhere even within me, I might not reveal it but there are personal objectives that you want to achieve with the club.”

The coach has seen a

lot of players improve and develop under his watchful eyes; the likes of Lethogonolo Chenjela, Benson Mangolo and Thato Ogopotse are some who have shown drastic improvements on the field of play.

The ambitious Wire took over from the late Keitumetse Paul at the end of the season and before Paul, the team was led by another veteran coach, Daniel Nare. Wire was always under pressure adopting a team which has been led by the very best local coaches.

Currently, the team is comfortable on fifth spot of the Botswana Football League (BFL), having put together 42 points from 26 fixtures.

The team looks set to compete with the likes of Orapa United, BDF XI and Jwaneng Galaxy for a place in the top four.

Systems are drawn against Township Rollers in the last 16 of the Orange FA Cup and the Tlokweng based side will be looking to make another statement and cause panic with their spirited football.
