LaMonki clothing brand reveals Nono as brand ambassador
LaMonki clothing collection recently revealed that Nonofo Vanessa Tau, often referred to as Nono, is their new brand ambassador.
The 25-year-old who is pleased with this deal,said it is a dream come true for her because she loves fashion and looking good. She also said that it helps that the brand also epitomises the values that she upholds.
“It is always best if the brand resonates with one’s personal values and one has a strong connection to it,” she said. Tau is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Banking and Finance at Ba Isago University and also has her own newly established company, Edumile Tau -an agricultural supply company. She told Vibe that she has always wanted to be a fashion model, influencer and artist. She said her brother was her inspiration and that she was also raised in a musical family.
“My brother Wazer is a gospel artist and I come from a musical family so there was always creative inspiration all around me. My brother inspired me to pursue my passions and never give up, especially seeing him working with artists from America and so forth,” she said.
The ambitious lass has always pushed to make her dreams come true. She explained that because of her interest in being a content producer and her passion for music, in 2012 she tried for and was cast as a voiceover artist on Nifty Toons - a television show that airs on NOW Tv. “I got to demonstrate my acting and singing skills,” she said.
This opportunity opened several doors for her, and she also started being featured on other artists’ work doing vocals.
This is how she got the attention of USA-based DJ and music producer, Godwill Daniel of Dagee Records, who also established LaMonki. She was signed to Dagee Records last year and has a few musical projects coming up. She also has a show on Dagee Radio called ‘The horizon with Vanessa.’
