Larometh Cakes bring fresh taste
Director of Larometh Cakes and event planning, Tebogo Nthobatsang, hopes to bring a fresh taste to the baking industry with her delicious and well-crafted cakes.
The Palapye based all-round artistic creative said that when she was running her event planning business, she noticed that sometimes the decor was beautiful, but the cake would not be up to scratch and this would ruin the look of the setting.
She explained that this is what spurred her to establish her cake business. “I noticed that good decor goes well with a nice cake and I started including cakes as part of my offerings,so that they could blend with the decor sheet,” she said.
Nthobatsang said that when she started out, she sampled tastes and designs on her children, who were happy with her work. She said this, combined with the positive response from her clients, motivated her to keep doing a good job and improving her baking skills. “The reception I got was positive and the passion grew from there as I thrived to put a smile on the face of each and every child I made a cake for,” she said.
She said she loves children and so loves baking goodies for little ones because they are special and deserve a treat once in a while.
“I love making cakes for children - especially character cakes. I am always pleased to their happy faces when they appreciate the cakes, “she noted. She said that she also makes cakes for adults and takes order for corporate events, bridal and baby showers and weddings.
Nthobatsang said that she has received a lot of support even though the cakes market is saturated.
She noted that she relies on loyal customers who come back because of her good products and excellent service.
The enterprising Nthobatsang encouraged those who are interested in the baking industry to refine their skills and talent in order to stand out in the competitive market. She also urged those interested in business to be bold and courageous in pursuing their passion and reaching their business goals.
