Flexybouy Hardgee drops ‘You!’

He collaborates with Rhema Zambia on new single

- BY IRENE SHONE

Flexybouy Hardgee has recently dropped a new single dubbed ‘You’, in which he features Zambian popular artiste Rhema Zambia.

The song You is an Afro Pop single which defies today’s beliefs that there is no longer true love like back in the days.

Flexybouy Hardgee told Vibe that he has lived to observe that love is a beautiful thing and women in particular make love to blossom in homes. “This song was therefore composed to preach about the goodness of love and embrace a woman figure, because they are fountains of love. As the title to the song, ‘You’ refers to a woman, just to remind her that she is a very important and special creature.”

These two lines from the first verse of the song; “Ke lesego la Modimo gobo kenale wena// Kgwetlho tsa botshelo, nna ke gata le wena//,” loosely explain that, a man who has a woman in his life is fairly blessed and therefore he should embrace and ride with her no matter the circumstances. The song was produced by RuleBizzy at Hood Records. The Afro Pop lad further told Vibe that his music is inspired by real life situations and he has been concerned to see people especially on social media claiming that there is no real love in today’s era. He says the song speaks to anyone around the world because no one is foreign to music and love. “I featured Rhema Zambia because I have been following his music, and thought to myself that his rhythm and mine could fuse and create something of international standard,” he said. He said that he is grateful that he did not turn him down on this collaboration, and hopes they would do more collaborations in the future to unite nations through music. The two have already started shooting the music video to this song and are hopeful that it would be out soon. “We are humbled by the feedback that we receive already regarding the song and promise that the video is equally a marvel to watch,” he said.
