TOWN COUNCIL FOLLOWS DEBTORS

-

Jwaneng Town Council is coming after debtors in an effort to replenish its coffers so that it can deliver the necessary services. The Council is owed over P27 million by residents of Jwaneng ranging from individuals, parastatals, and government entities to companies. Of this amount, over P15 million are rates, over P8 million for Building Material Loan, almost a million pula for market stalls, and over P700 000 to service levy. The campaign will first target companies, which owe over P3 million. Jwaneng Council Town Mayor, Olga Ditsie took to social media to explain why the council is lacking in service delivery.
