BFA ACCUSED OF SEEKING A PLACE FOR MAGOSI

-

Magatwe a re the Botswana Football Association is actually using the club licensing issue as an excuse to fire premier league teams and thereby creating space for Mochudi Centre Chiefs. From last week when it was announced that the likes of Extension Gunners, Eleven Angels and Mogoditshane Fighters among others have been relegated to the lowest structures of football in Botswana, social media mongers have been making their own interpretations of what could really be happening at Lekidi. Those who claim to be smart and observant have asked people to look at the person who signed the letter announcing the bad news for Mapantsula and others. Gatwe

Mokgatla who has been associated with Mochudi Centre Chiefs for as long as the club has been known in Botswana. They claim that the chap was upset when Eleven Angels knocked Magosi out at the Premiership play-offs. And that is not enough, they say. one also has to look at the BFA President to know why it has been so easy for five teams to be axed from the premier league instead of helping them navigate the club licencing requirements. Gatwe ene he was even a financier and leader at Magosi before joining BFA, and that the belief is that should the five teams go, Chiefs may find a way of returning to the premiership earlier than expected. How true these suspicions are remain just that – speculation. We hope the teams sent packing will normalize so that such conspiracy theories just die quickly!
