VELAPHI MOURNS MOTHER

Gaborone United this week announced that Alford Velaphi’s mother (Onkemetse) will be laid to rest in Borolong Village, in the outskirts of Francistown on Saturday morning.

The Reds’ player lost his mother, Onkemetse Velaphi last week after a short illness. Her son went on to put up a sterling performance against AS Vita on Sunday night in her honour.

“Our prayers are with Velaphi in this difficult time. He is a strong boy hence he decided to remain in camp last week despite losing his mother,” said Club Boss Nicholas Zakhem.

The boss further urged the club supporters to throng to Borolong Village in large numbers to pay their last respects to Mma Velaphi.
