Masisi misses the bus ride at the Queen’s funeral

-

In what the British police dubbed the largest global protection operation they have ever undertaken, world leaders and international royalty were instructed to leave their limousines at some designated place and told to instead hop into buses that would ferry them for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral on Monday. It was quite some spectacle seeing some of the leaders used to being transported in their own vehicles having to share space in a bus like children on a school trip. Some heads of state, including presidents of Kenya and Tanzania posed for cameramen and women inside the buses assigned by British authorities. Only Joe Biden of America was allowed to use his armoured limousine known as The Beast while leaders of Italy, New Zealand, Belgiu, Spain and African heads of state among others were transported in buses. China’s Vice President also chose to come in a separate car. Over 100 leaders gathered for the funeral, with our very own Mokgweetsi Masisi choosing to be in the United States of America instead. It would have been interesting to see Mosau in one of those buses, away from driving his GD6, just as the Italian president who arrived in a Maseratti had to leave the elegant vehicle at some designated hospital in Chelsea.
