The return to normalcy, post restrictio­ns and lockdowns, has seen several companies draw budgets to prop up sports and bringing hope to career sports individual­s. Corporate sponsorshi­p in sport activities had hit rock bottom during the peak periods of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over the past weeks, several corporate social responsibi­lity packages in support of sport have been unveiled by the country’s market leading companies.Financial services provider, Stanbic Bank Botswana recently sponsored the Morupule General Manager’s Cycle Challenge 2022 to the value of P311, 000.00. According to the company, the sponsorshi­p reaffirms its dedication to supporting initiative­s that improve the lives of Batswana, whilst promoting healthy lifestyles through fitness activities, and championin­g the benefits and growth of the cycling discipline. “As a financial partner, we are dedicated to the unrelentin­g pursuit of our objective, which is to encourage both financial and healthy ways of living,” said Stanbic Bank Botswana Head of Business Commercial Clients (BCC), Calistas Chijoro.
