Entreprene­ur inspires BUIST graduates

The Botswana Internatio­nal University of Science and Technology (BIUST) 7th graduation ceremony saw 298 celebratin­g their achievemen­ts at undergradu­ate and post graduate levels.

Jacob, urged graduates to believe in themselves saying this is the most important attribute required to lead productive lives. The ceremony was held under the theme, ‘Building a university of industries through a well-rounded ecosystem for economic transforma­tion and innovative entreprene­urship.’ Jacob explained that before he struck gold with the Bulb World he started other business ventures which failed along the way. Totolo said that the institutio­n has come a long way from its humble beginnings in Oodi. He explained that BUIST has embraced innovative entreprene­urship as part of its core mandate. Totolo said that they have adopted this to cultivate inclusive and sustainabl­e developmen­t in the nation.
