FREE FOR ALL FIREWOOD AT AGRIC UNIVERSITY

The past few days saw an influx of firewood collectors at the Notwane farm of Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN) where the public was invited to collect the fire making natural resource at no fee at all. From people with wheelbarrows to those in vans, sedans and trucks, the farm hosted a plethora of people seeking the firewood for both domestic and business purposes. Many praised the university for the generous gesture while others argued the university was in no charitable mood, but that they came up with a smart way of clearing the bushes in the farm at no fee themselves, and instead got the public to come do it under the guise of giving firewood for free. Whatever the case was, people were happy to have found been given good firewood from within the confines of the city (PICS: Daily News)
