WHATEVER COULD HAVE HAPPENED WITH SALESHANDO

-

Media reports this week say that at a rally he addressed in Selebi Phikwe this past weekend, UDC President Duma Boko revealed that if the BDP had not rigged elections the UDC would today be in power and that Dithapelo Keorapetse would be the country’s Vice President. Gatwe the UDC president made this statement, reasoning that Keorapetse is so intelligent he would have chosen him as his Number Two. Perhaps a reckless thing for the sekhukhu president to say for those who have been following the bickering between the UDC leaders and the BCP leader Dumelang Saleshando over the past months. One of the rumours that have been doing rounds as the conflict between Boko and Saleshando has been raging is that Boko had always preferred to work with Keorapetse than Saleshando, made even more believable by those who cited the fact that Boko and Keorapetse were never without each other during the period of the 2019 elections campaign. Gatwe ba ne baa ja makakauwe mmogo in the UDC President’s jet, leaving Saleshando to fend for himself.

Magatwe a re Saleshando somehow did get wind of these rumours relating to this plan and lost trust in Keorapetse although he had no real reason to confirm it was true. Now with the president finally coming out to say Keorapetse would be the country’s Vice President, Saleshando must be happy to know that he was not as paranoid as many would have thought. One wonders then as to what would have become of Saleshando and what ministry he would be at. It is common talk that Masisi o ne a ribametse Khama; and so had Boko against Saleshando. Politics and its related politricks!
