- IRENE SHONE

Otsile Stuart Motlotle well known as Tsitsi, is a musician in the making, and thanks to the local music talent show competition, My Star, he has made it to the Top three.

Tsitsi told Vibe that My Star has helped expose his talent, and he looks forward to releasing his official music in the future. “Being in the top three induced light in me as it has, taught me a lot. I have grown not only vocally but also as a person because I have met and battled great talents from all over the country.” To be frank, this competition has motivated me to consider taking my art more seriously. “From singing in the shower to finding myself not only competing in this grand stage but in the Top 3 means quiet a lot to me, and it brings hope to my music career,” he said. He actually discovered his voice at church at a young age and has always loved singing. He further noted that his sister, Rebafiloe Motlotle Masire, has been been his pillar of support and always urged him to join My Star, until he gave it a chance this year. “And that is how much she believed in my voice, “he said. He is now confident that he could also decorate the local Afro Pop genre through his art. He has so far performed as a backup vocalist under Chris Willie. “It was a joy being nurtured under such voices, but now My Star has given me a reason to grow my wings as a solo artiste, “he said. Tsitsi couldn’t go on without appreciating everyone who has supported him throughout the My Star journey.

“This was one emotional roller coaster but i have made it this far,” he said, emphasising that if he was to win this competition, he would definitely start his journey of healing people through his music and use the grand prize to further his education and pursue his dreams.
