F/TOWN COUNCIL REPS IN SWEDEN
Representatives from the City of Francistown Council are currently in Sweden at the invitation of the Swedish International Centre for Local Democracy (ICLD) for a week-long training on the ICLD Human Rights Network. The network is aimed at bringing together and supporting partnerships among municipal governments; impact participatory democracy, expand international network, analyse cross cultural cooperation, and localising SDGs, among other things. The second leg of the visit will involve discussions with the Lund Municipality to cement partnership or twinning relations on issues of improving Youth Participation in local democracy.
