How to treat your girlfriend

Who do you love? Whom do you cherish as your girlfriend or boyfriend? What do you love most about them? What attracted you to the person? If you take some time to list the qualities that attracted you to the person you say you love, you will realize where your relationship stands and what kind of future it has. The famous qualities that the media seems to flash today are money, good looks, six-pack abs as opposed to one large ab, fashionable designer wear, smooth speech, a fancy car and a fancy cell phone. Well, only immature minds get attracted by such complexities and niceties of life. If those things are playing a major role in your thinking when you assess a guy or girl, then your relationships are doomed to shallowness and failure. The first quality a woman looks for in relationships is respect. Respect is defined as deferential esteem felt or shown towards someone, to treat with consideration and to regard with politeness. It is to relate to a woman with courtesy. Women like to be respected in a relationship. And it must begin before marriage. The man must respect her character. However, respect is not deserved, it is earned. This means she must behave in a manner worthy of respect. Any unruly behaviour is unacceptable. A woman must be more than just a woman and be a lady in her approach to life. There are some behavioral patterns which are unbecoming for a woman such as drunkenness, rowdiness, loud-mouthed, dishonoring appearance and violence. These are inappropriate and can turn a man away. Genuineness in motive and character are very essential qualities that a man should possess when relating to a woman. Acting as if you are in charge of everything can be very hazardous. This normally happens because pretense levels run high during courtship. Honesty also plays a big part in any relationship. Be honest about everything. When a woman discovers that you are being dishonest, she may harbour mistrust and suspicion. Live above reproach and just be the real you. Have integrity in your character and have moral excellence that will stand out among others. Love your girlfriend genuinely. Many men are after sex and are quick to touch and fondle women, even in public. When a man is quick to touch a woman on any part of her body it means he is after sex and will not stop unless and until he gets it, and if he doesnÕt get sex then he will start to sulk. Learn to be romantic without wanting sex. Your relationship should not be all about sex. Sex is sacred to marriage and you have to respect that truth or else your life will be a mess. Communication is an essential aspect of all relationships in life. Make sure you communicate fluently, frequently, clearly and creatively. Work on your communication skills all the time.
