Source bottledwater rebrands to Bonaqua
Source bottled still water has been rebranded to Bonaqua, to align it with other products under the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), keeping the same taste on the product.
Coca-Cola Beverages Botswana (CCBB), a subsidiary of CCBA said the rebranding from Source to Bonaqua is part of the company’s plan to offer quality products easily marketable and identifiable. “Our water is still locally prepared and blended to perfection using unique salts and an advanced filtration system to give it that unique and refreshing taste,” said Coca-Cola Frontline Portfolio Activations Manager, Caroline Nyadzayo, adding that the company’s bottled still water is branded Bonaqua in most global markets where the label is recognized as a sign of quality. “This standardization will help our local consumers and tourists, who are an integral component of the economy, to easily distinguish and identify our water from other products due to Bonaqua’s global visual identity and well-established trademarks that ensure a consistent brand experience,” she said. Meanwhile, the Source bottled still water is a locally produced product that resonates with the #PushaBotswana, which seeks to promote Botswana as a destination of choice for investment, tourism, work and residence. In addition, Bonaqua Source water carries the Botswana Pride Mark as an endorsement of Brand Botswana essence which is ‘Pride and Progress’. The rebranding exercise is just the beginning of the CCBA’s planned investments that would see the company upgrading its production line for the innovation pipeline. The Source is one of the only two bottled water brands certified by the Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS-ISO), confirming the product’s adherence to expected quality standards.
