Gaborone United have tightened the screw on their players as they look to maintain and uphold a high level of professional conduct, following recent concerns that some players take part in social football activities. The emergence of local social football clubs and interest in the games has hit new heights in recent times and some professional players have also taken a keen interest in the movement including actively participating in the games. The Botswana Football League (BFL) CEO Solomon Ramochotlhwane and Footballers Union of Botswana president Onalethata Tshekiso, previously gave strong warnings to the elite league players against partaking in these games without consent of their parent clubs.
