BIUST COLLABORATES FOR METAL-FREE WATER
Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) recently started the Africa-Japan Collaborative Research project titled “Sustainable well-being through rapid detection, remediation, and stakeholder awareness of contaminants in environments impacted by mining activities”. The project whose aim is to provide heavy metal-free water and food to communities impacted by mining activities in Botswana, is a collaboration between BIUST (Botswana), University of Johannesburg (South Africa) and Shibaura Institute of Technology, Kagoshima University, Kyoto University from Japan.
