BOTSWANA HOST GAMBLING CONFERENCE

Botswana has won the bid to host the International Association of Gambling Regulators (IAGR) conference in October next year, a meet expected to attract representatives from gaming and gambling regulators across the world. This year, the conference will be held in Australia. South Africa hosted it in 2017, followed by Denmark in 2018, while Jamaica hosted the 2019 edition. There was no conference in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19. Hosting the conference will give regulators an opportunity to engage with key advocacy committees.
