RAMOTSWA MP LEFOKO MOAGI FACES REVOLT

-

And so we gather that Member of Parliament for Ramotswa is in hiding and has not shown up at any of the community events in the village of late. Gatwe this is after the Balete royal, Kgosi Mosadi Seboko revealed recently that the MP was appearing to be on the side of government as the Bamalete Landbord through the Court of Appeal seeks to dispossess the tribe of their famed Forest Hill farm. Talk of the town in Ramotswa now has since been about him, with many saying they will not be returning him to Parliament come 2024. Gatwe with him having used the land issue to campaign his way to victory in 2019, he should be ashamed to be the one today distancing himself from the tribe and acting on the side of those who, according to the tribe, want to steal their prized asset. Even at the press conference to talk about the matter, royal elders expressed shock that he was not even at the gathering, with Kgosi Mosadi only saying that the MP had told her that kana

he is in cabinet and therefore could not be seen to be opposing government. Yet the people of Gamalete do not care what his predicament is – they see him as a traitor. Even at a village concert this past Saturday night at the village kgotla, many were heard saying: Yo gotweng Fox yo ene o laetse a seka a itshwenya a re o emela ditlhopho ka 2024. It remains to be seen what the MP’s next move will be given such sentiments in his constituency.
