First National Bank (FNB) strives to become the customer centric bank, offering innovative banking solutions and advanced digital banking products through its new brand and redesigned banking App, which offers more security features and enhanced services in the internet banking channel.

The bank introduced a new brand in response to evolving technology and customer needs. Launching the brand last week, FNB Botswana CEO, Steven Bogatsu said the Bank is intentionally shifting to a customer centric brand that allows for differentiation across the industry, enabling consumers to easily understand, and use the extended offerings while creating a seamless digital user experience across interfaces. “As the nation grapples with the residual effects of recent global events, it’s important that FNBB positions itself as a future- forward partner that not only has the digital prowess but an empathetic approach to empowering and facilitating sustainable growth for our customers and stakeholders. This refreshed identity also provides our staff an opportunity to upskill themselves and further enhance their intuition and talent in an effort to maintain our services excellence.”

Bogatsu said over the last five years, they have had a consistent brand application for FNB, which has enabled the Bank to establish a strong brand presence and overwhelming recognition in the market. “This we have done through financial inclusion, where we have successfully extended banking services to more remote locations through CashPlus.” He highlighted that CashPlus outlets grew by 81 percent, while CashPlus transaction volumes increased by 137 percent to the value of P 1.9 billion. The Bank also continues to register growth across all digital platforms as customers appreciate the ease of electronic transactions as well as the option to serve themselves in the form of convenient, value - added service. 96 percent of customers use one of the digital channels with 44 percent taking usage of the FNB App. “These efforts have landed the foundation to now position FNB as more than just a bank but an IFS platform brand enabling customers’ lifestyles. The intention is to cater for the immense product and service diversification and portfolio extension that we embark on.”
