Semadi wants to bang in goals

- SUN REPORTER

New Jwaneng Galaxy striker, Serati Semadi is confident that he is progressing well and is taking things as they come since he doesn’t want to miss any step in his football career.

The Palapye born goal poacher moved from Gilport Lions to BDF XI a few years ago and after two seasons with Matebele he moved another step up the ladder, joining Jwaneng Galaxy where he is looking to make the most of every opportunity.

Speaking in an interview this week, the 27 year old said he is in good shape and very much loving the new environment at Galaxy. “I’ve been in good shape, I am loving the new environment, the team has given me so much love than I had expected honestly,” he said. He added that his task has been to adapt to the team and one advantage for him has been the prolonged season. “I’ve recently started adapting and opening up to them, because of the fact that we haven’t really spent much time together but I’d say it’s slowly getting there.”

Semadi is a player who doesn’t lack ambition, and he is currently working on improving his finishing skills to realise his desire to end the season as the top goal scorer. “I was born ready and I’m pretty sure soon my name will

be on the tip of everyone’s tongue, I’m a Semadi after all.” Although there will be too much competition up front, Semadi believes his role is to work towards helping the team and his teammates. My teammates are pretty chilled and as much as we train hard, we also train smart. It really gives one self motivation, as we are one in the team. The goal is to win together as family. Everyone knows how to play their part.”
