SOLOMON’S DOWNWARD TRAJECTORY

...as founding BFL CEO bites the dust

- CITY KEAGAKWA

In the wake of serious criticism by the Botswana Football Association (BFA), the Botswana Football League (BFL) Chief Executive Officer, Solomon Ramochotlhwane resigned from his post on Monday afternoon. The first ever CEO of the newly formed entity has been under the microscope, particularly relating to issues of sponsorship, with the league set to kick-off for its second season without a title sponsor.

“This serves to inform members of the media and all football stakeholders that Mr Solomon Ramochotlhwane, who served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Botswana Football League has resigned from his duties with immediate effect,” part of the BFL statement reads. Ramochotlhwane himself has not issued any statement, be it through social media or interviews, regarding the matter and close reports suggest he was forced to resign.
