FEMINA MARKS MILESTONE
Femina Woman Association has organised a 10th anniversary dinner to celebrate its empowerment of women and girls in business. According to the Association, the dinner and business market will celebrate impact the organisation has had on livelihoods.
“It is an exciting milestone,” said Femina Woman Association spokesperson, Lorato Macheng, citing that the Association has reached women from different backgrounds. Established ten years ago, the NGO is a women empowerment movement that aims to inspire women to lead empowered lives. “The programs aim to encourage women of all social and economic backgrounds to take a step of action and work towards their dreams. It is a platform for women to venture into domains that include technology, entrepreneurship, health and educational opportunities,” said Macheng
She said the celebratory dinner coupled with business market day is planned to be held mid November.
Macheng further said the business jamboree is an opportunity to look back, reflect on all challenges overcame, the lessons learnt and celebrate the lives touched, whilst still supporting and empowering women in small businesses. “We want to honor selected women who have worked tirelessly with us on our mandate,” said Macheng. Three influential leaders and business women that are lined up to speak at the event are Nonofo Jesse-Managing Consultant of N HESSY Consultancy, Khumo Nawa- Director of Money Managers and published author and community leader, Motamma Sesinyi-Horatius- an astounding Community Visionary .
