Afro Pop giant, Tebogo Kgaodi aka Tab has released a single dubbed ‘Tsamaya sentle’ after a short break in the music industry.

He is back after a seven-year break and he is back to deliver. ‘Tsamaya sentle’ is a wedding song, bidding farewell to the newly wedded bride. Tab’s music is easily identifiable with rich Setswana lyrics. He is a well-known as a composer/singer, songwriter and producer for the then Mogote Afro Pop Group, popularly known for the ‘Re ja ngwana’ hit song. After the group dissolved, Tab decided to go solo and has since released several albums including: Monyaka and Palamonwana. He further told Vibe that he has been busy with other projects but now ready to release more music suiting the wedding season. “Music is my calling, Afro pop music in particular. I embrace marriage and love, so choosing Afro pop music was a way of me celebrating love through music,” he said. Tab said that initially he was a hip-hop artist and later developed interest in RnB, and decided to switch to Afro pop to express himself better in his native language.

Tsamaya Sentle was recorded and mastered at Touch Records in Gaborone. Tab told Vibe that the single forms part of his upcoming album. The song is already receiving airplay on different radio stations and it recently premiered at Mokaragana. Tab reiterated that the song was written to encourage and celebrate new brides when they leave their families to join their matrimonial homes. “Tsamaya sentle means go well, and the song simply means that, go and be happy at your new home,” he said. Tab further said that the album to this song is equally amazing. “The full album is a cherry on the cake, and people should look out to it anytime soon,” he said. Tab also said that he is available for MC gigs, particularly for the weddings.
