MASISI IS AFRICA CLIMATE MOBILITY CHAMPION

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi was officially recognised as Africa climate mobility champion at the ongoing 27th Conference Of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt. As champion, the Office of the President says Botswana will have the opportunity to work with the Africa Climate Mobility Initiative (AMCI), promote and pilot projects in key climate mobility hotspots in the African region. It also means the country will get support from the World Bank in carrying out technical projects under the AMCI.
