Vipers and Police were crowned the champions of Lucara Botswana Netball League finals that were held in Otse over the weekend.

Vipers rose to championship on men’s category after battling it out with BDF Cats, Vipers Netball Club beat BDF 39 - 21 to walk away with P10 000, a Trophy and Gold medals.

They beat Police to book themselves a spot in the finals while BDF Cats beat Tafic. On the losers’ final, Police thrashed Tafic by 57-18 to claim the bronze medal.

Police and BDF went to the finals after beating Tasc and Notwane respectively. Tasc claimed the bronze medal after beating Notwane by 52-49 in the losers’ final.

“It wasn’t easy because all the teams were hungry after a long break of covid -19, We fought to be the champions but the teams gave us good games and they are going to be coming for us next year.”
