BAGAMMANGWATO STILL WITHOUT A ROYAL LEADER
Three months since Bangwato Regent Kgosi Sediegeng Kgamane was unceremoniously relieved of his duties, no appointment has been made to replace him for what is deemed the largest tribe in Botswana. While the people were still awaiting news on who is to take over as the rightful Kgosikgolo has been avoiding the seat for many years and currently hiding in some foreign country, the Gammangwato people got the shock of their lives last week when the deposed Kgosi Kgamane was evicted from a pool house he has been occupying since he took over as Regent. The eviction notice from the tribal office actually sparked a new conversation on why the Regent had not immediately moved out of the house when he was sacked. Batswana! Ba botsa gore a Kgosi ene o ne a sa ikagela. Others found the move to be cruel as the old man has served this country well for years. Some even raised a protest to say the pool house did not really belong to government despite government maintaining everything there. Gore why Kgosi Kgamane is being evicted when no replacement for him has been found has surprised many. They wonder who would next lead the Gammangwato tribe.
